Harbor House recognizes that our mission requires our organization to make an impact on the lives of children, youth and families on more than just a local level. We must take a leadership role in helping to shape state and national policy that recognizes the needs of our youth and commits to developing comprehensive solutions that will address the challenges faced by at-risk youth.

To this end, our agency maintains memberships and affiliations with a variety of youth, advocacy and development organizations and groups. Some of these partnerships are listed below.

New Jersey Alliance for Children, Youth & Families

A New Jersey based organization that is a network of membership agencies and individuals providing a common voice for runaway, homeless and vulnerable youth, and their families. The Coalition leads in the facilitation and support of quality crisis intervention services in member organizations.

To reach this goal, they are committed to advocacy, networking, training and research. The New Jersey Alliance for Children, Youth and Families represents the combined membership of the New Jersey Association of Children’s Residential Facilities and the Garden State Coalition for Youth and Family Concerns.

NRS provides education and solution-focused interventions, offers non-sectarian, non-judgmental support, respects confidentiality, collaborates with volunteers, and responds to at-risk youth and their families 24 hours a day.

National Network for Youth

National Network For Youth

The National Network for Youth (NN4Y) is the nation’s leading organization advocating at the federal level to educate the public and policymakers about the needs of homeless and disconnected youth. We are a membership organization of service providers, state agencies, coalitions, faith-based organizations, advocates and individuals who work towards our vision of a world where vulnerable and homeless youth can escape the dangers of the streets and access safety, youth-appropriate services, hope and healing.
