CURRENT INITIATIVES & FUTURE GOALS

The agency has embarked upon several initiatives to improve its reporting of outcomes and provide stronger evaluation programs. New forms have been designed to document how we improve the lives of the children and youth we serve. Ocean's Harbor House will be seeking to continue implementation of this new agency-wide quality assurance/best practices plan throughout the next year.

The agency recognizes that it must continue to meet the needs of this burgeoning community and its' children. Ocean's Harbor House has committed to further expansion from 2007-2010 with a two-million dollar capital campaign. These critical resources will be used to renew our commitment to our Emergency Youth Shelter, as we build a new enhanced facility that will better serve all youth who enter its doors. And for those who can not reach our facilities, we will strive to be on the cutting edge as we develop web-based counseling and support services for area families. This service will build a strategic partnership between our existing programs, local law enforcement, schools, hospitals, the county library system, and various media outlets. The Harbor House Safe NET will provide local social services an array of technological tools to reach children of the computer generation. Our vision is to provide area children and families with critical support services and resources, while also providing local children with opportunities to combat online predators.

Ocean's Harbor House will continue to identify ways to further develop the quality and quantity of services provided to at-risk youth in Ocean County. We will continue to remain a strong beacon of hope to the youth and families of our community.
