HOT ISSUESWHAT IS HARBOR HOUSE?Harbor House is a shelter and counseling program located in Toms River, New Jersey. We also provide counseling and Street Outreach Services in a variety of neighborhoods in Ocean County.
We also provide a variety of groups and counseling services for teens who just need to talk, share their feelings or develop new, healthy friendships. Our services are mostly designed for teens, but our shelter can house youth ages 10 through 19. Our Transitional Living Program provides services for older youth ages 16-21. All of our services are confidential. However, we do work closely with parents when appropriate to help youth return home, if that is a safe place.
WHERE CAN I GO FOR HELP?I need help for my child right now! My son/daughter has run away or has threatened to leave! My son/daughter and I need a break from each other and help with our problems. Staff are available round-the-clock to help youth who are in crisis, having trouble at home, have runaway or are thinking about running away, are homeless and have nowhere to go, or have been abused and/or assaulted and need help finding a safe place to be.
