Register & Help Make Change

Since 1988, Ocean's Harbor House has provided shelter, support, and services to vulnerable youth and families from Ocean and Monmouth Counties in New Jersey, as well as across the entire state.

In many cases, these services can be extended to individuals in need, regardless of their geographic location.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

At Ocean’s Harbor House we share the anguish and fear that the history of racism has caused. For decades, Ocean’s Harbor House has provided a safe haven for all youth and families, regardless of race, gender, national origin or sexual orientation. We provide a continuum of care and support to help our youth and families overcome obstacles and recover from prior challenges. However, we realize that we can and must do more. We condemn acts of racism and will continue to educate, advocate and shed light on the beauty that is diversity, while encouraging others to do the same.

The youth and families we serve often come to us scarred by different types of trauma, including trauma resulting from racism and discrimination. At Ocean’s Harbor House, we pledge to do our best to stand side-by-side with those who are discriminated against, misunderstood, silenced and mistreated. We ask you to unite with us to make our society a better place for us all. The youth and families of today and tomorrow need our help to keep them safe and empowered.

“Every society has its protectors of status quo and its fraternities of the indifferent who are notorious for sleeping through revolutions. Today, our very survival depends on our ability to stay awake, to adjust to new ideas, to remain vigilant and to face the challenge of change.”

Ocean's Harbor House is Undergoing a Transformation

During an extreme snowstorm, Alice Woods of Ocean’s Harbor House and Paul Hulse of Just Believe Inc. had a conversation about collaborating to put together a program to help families and women who are experiencing homelessness. On January 19th during a state of emergency, the plan was put in action with the appropriate approvals. The shelter facility, temporarily operated jointly by these two organizations, in cooperation with local government officials, provides a connection to services to help those who are in need during the coldest nights of the year.
